GST Rate Change...Probe Cash Book
The GST rate changes to 15% on the 1st October 2010.
- Version 2.4.6 allows you to change the GST rate from the Master Details. However, an upgrade is available to download which has some cosmetic changes to the GST report and also now prompts you for the correct GST rate.
- Any GST Rate change adjustments must be calculated manually, and these can be entered in the September GST Return under either the "Other Income Adjustment" or "Other Expenses Adjustment" as the case may be.
- If your GST return period spans the 1st October 2010, you will need to set up a GST period to 30 September and a GST period for the balance of the GST period. These figures from the separate GST reports will need to be combined on the Inland Revenue Department's GST form.
- Before you start processing any transactions from 1st October 2010, you will need to change the GST rate to 15%.
GST Rate Change...Probe Invoicing
The GST rate changes to 15% on the 1st October 2010.
- Version 2.0.1 allows you to change the GST rate from the Master Details. However, an upgrade is available to download which now prompts you for the correct GST rate.
- Before you start processing any transactions from 1st October 2010, you will need to change the GST rate to 15%.
- If your need to issue a credit note after 1st October with a GST rate of 12.5% you can change the GST rate back while you process that transaction. Remember to change the rate back immediately to avoid the incorrect rate being applied to other invoices.
PAYE Changes...Probe Payroll
New PAYE rates apply from 1st October 2010.
- A upgrade to Version 7.0.2 needs to be downloaded and applied to allow for the correct PAYE rates to be deducted from pay periods ending on or after 1st October 2010.
